Re: Work relationships

Re: "Hosting" for someone else and special requests

So, I opted for the individual meals at the dinner, with GF appetizers and individual desserts at the buffet to limit the possibility of cross contamination. The GF desserts were clearly marked GF,...

Part of my position involves "hosting" dinner to thank employees and volunteers on behalf of the big boss. I send the invitations, manage the caterers/food orders, set up, tear down, etc.

Re: Think my friend now hates me

I think the right thing to do is to respect her request. It doesn't sound like you did anything to provoke that kind of response.

Change your vacation plans. Go somewhere else and make new...

Re: My mom vent

Yep. That's why my mom is in her own apartment and still working and being self-supporting.

One thing I am trying to understand is every age comes with its own emotional challenges. I'm...

Re: What is a "false sense of well being"???

I'm doing okay, snafu. My stomach got used to the meds. I am still waiting for that "false sense of well being," but no stomach upset will do! :)

Re: Unplanned

I went to see it tonight. I thought it was very well done.

I do not agree that it should have an R rating, though. There was a depiction of medical procedures, but I see more on My 600lb Life. ...

Re: My mom vent

I agree that you've done a lot for her. It would be better for her to be with other people, too.

Unplanned

This is NOT a pro-con thread over the topic of the movie.

I'm curious what people think of the way the movie itself is being treated.

There are arguments that it should not have an R rating;...

Re: My kids, My mother and Step Dad... ugh

First, let me say thank you for being a good husband and father! It's refreshing to see a husband support his wife; many times the "son" wins out.

Your mother may have expectations, but it's not...
