Re: Holiday Menu
Yesterday my DH said "You know, I'd be fine without the turkey." I texted my kids and found out that they, too, would be fine without the turkey.
Rock my world. I'm fine without the turkey too!...

Re: "Odd" things on menus
LOL - when I was growing up we had a family we were friends with who had quail and they often made pickled quail eggs. I liked them. A couple of summers ago I saw some in a store locally and bought...

Re: Dallas tornado
My DS lives about 11 miles from where it touched down. He's okay - didn't even have a power interruption.

Re: shopping - hold me back
Well, it's still cheaper than $80, and you have a pair of perfectly tailored pants for not much above what you had hoped to pay! It's just one less latte at Starbucks. :)

Re: Best way to drink soda
 Really? Why's that?
My kids drink fountain drinks without a straw if we're at a restaurant. :o Not so if we're in the car. I wish I had not used straws throughout most of my life,...

Re: Best way to drink soda
Hmmm. Well, it's best not to drink sodas at all ;) but if you're willing to include a large iced tea in the category I'll play.
It's not at all eco-friendly (and I usually try to be) but my...

Re: Passive-aggressive saboteur in the work place
I wonder if a little "Bless Your Heart" is in order? I know that's not your style Lucy, but a smile with a "Did you need help understanding the instructions?" might go a long way if the person...

Re: Natural Hair lightening
I'm just letting my hair go gray. LOL. :D
There are some natural (botanical extract) shampoos that may help you achieve the look you want without bleach. You might want to research those. I use...

Re: Estranged sibs & death
I think about that from time to time. I'm sure my brother will tell me if one of my estranged sisters passes. But I won't know if they're ill, or if he dies first I won't know if they die.
It's...

Re: References-- what to do?

Re: Paperwork questions
I keep things a lot longer than that.
It really depends what you use bank statements for, and what kind of electronic access you have. Some people who are self-employed might run income/expenses...

Re: Princess
Check her litter box... she may be constipated. As cats age, arthritis makes it difficult for them to use the litter box.
My sole remaining cat is 19. She went through that decreased appetite...
