birthday recipe

It's my hubby's birthday on coming month and we are arranging a surprise party for him. I am planning to bake Red velvet Cake for him. I almost know the recipe but could somebody brief the recipe again and yeah I want to shop few home and kitchen appliances <snip>

Seriously. A bakery would be cheaper.

I have an old stove/oven in my garage... It's yours if you want it.

Re: birthday recipe

LOL @ the fact that it's supposed to be a surprise party, but there would be new appliances in the kitchen leading up to it. Well, come to think of it, I'm not 100% sure my DH would notice new appliances either.

Re: birthday recipe

Hmmmm.... Yummy cake made by professional bakery, about $50 in my area (decorated, the good frosting, 3 layers)

New appliances, new mixers, etc.... $$$$! And that's just so you can make the 🎂, pfft

Re: birthday recipe

Professional Bakery cake $50 bucks? Ouch!

I was surprised when I had to pay $20 bucks for a 1/4 sheet cake at the grocery store for my wife birthday.

I like cake. Wish I could eat more of it.

I've been wanting to make a pineapple upside down cake for some time. My wife said she was going to make pumpkin bread this Sunday. So it seems as though the pineapple upside down cake will be put off for awhile again.
