nail polish

I can't get it off - I've tried soaking my nails for over 5 minutes & I still had to scrape to get the stuff off

last time I got a mani they used the super strong, chip resistant polish - IMHO its not worth the extra $ (unless you're getting it for a super special event ie a wedding)

problems

- its thick & that means I can't get my nail under the little tab that covers the powerport in my cellphone - I've had to be inventive in order to recharge my phone
- I had a pinprick blood test, the bandaid pulled part of the polish off
- I can't get it off & I really don't want to pay to have it removed

Re: nail polish

I've never had a mani and I only use cheap polish on my toes so I'm afraid I can't help.

Re: nail polish

the salon does do "color change" polish - but I really don't want more polish, just this stuff removed (and NO buffing)

Re: nail polish

I'm sure they'd remove it for you, but you shouldn't have to pay for that! I've never heard of such a thing!!

Re: nail polish

Chemist solution: It should come off with mineral turps if all else fails. It stinks though, so do it outside.

In case you have a different name for it, mineral turps (turpentine) is the stuff you use for cleaning up your paint brushes after you have been painting your house with oil based paint.

Re: nail polish

Mrs X you use turpentine!

I bought a "jar" of remover that has a sponge in it - took "soaking" my nails 5-10 minutes, scraping off the loose stuff & resoaking until it was removed (in all it took over an hour - I could only fit 2-3 fingers in the "jar" at a time)
