Re: Science Experiments in the Bedroom

the "visitor" was of the insect variety; DS helped me kill it

the carp in the rooms - food containers, wrapers, soda cans, crumbs, but not a lot of dishes.

Re: Science Experiments in the Bedroom

Then it sounds like the paper plates won't help much.

Hopefully DS has learned his lesson. Have you considered charging them for exterminating costs?

Re: Science Experiments in the Bedroom

Part II

I just discovered that DS had a stash of soda cans hidden in his room.

If he'd just thrown away the few things I'd asked him too (& put a dirty dish in the dishwasher) I would not have discovered the stash. But I did find some of his lost socks too.

New house rule needs to be that no food leaves the kitchen or eating areas.

Re: Science Experiments in the Bedroom

you're not joking - I'm also gong to "toss" his room a few times like I did with DSD. He keeps it clean/no carp he'll get a reprieve, I find stuff I keep doing it. (and he might loose his bedside table- which is where he stashed most stuff)

Re: Science Experiments in the Bedroom

Both my DD's used to do that. Would drive me and my wife nuts too. The only cure we found was they eventually moved out.

Then my wife missed them. Me? I was elated.

Re: Science Experiments in the Bedroom

grrrr ... I tossed/cleaned DS's room .... DS had said he'd clean it...humph - lair, liar pant on fire

we had pest control doing an inspection

I found:

the land of lost socks (aka under the bed)
3 tin soldiers (aka soda cans)
multiple EMPTY tissue boxes (with said used tissues all over the floor)

etc...
