Re: new "diet"

pfft .... I sliped back into bad habits a while back and have improved this summer (I've also bought a new scale)

I'm at 150 lbs.

I also bought a mini crockpot so that I can take leftovers for lunch (hot lunch & not have to wait for the microwave)

Re: new "diet"

oh yeah - I've restarted adding chia seeds to my diet - just a tablespoon a day. Once I adjust to that I'll try upping it.

There is no fast weight loss magic bullet. First, consult with your doctor. With the doctor's approval, start an exercise program and focus on eating a healthy diet.

You can try cutting out sugar for a start. That's an instant weight loss method.

I was a bit of a sugar junkie, I was a person that could easily eat a packet of biscuits with a cup of tea in one sitting. Then I would drink several cuppas later in the day with sugar.I got into bad habits after having a hysterectomy op last year and I used to reward myself with cheese cake and ice cream daily. I could easily eat a whole one in a day...eeek!!. I can also binge on carbs like pasta and rice etc if I let myself, strange I know.I was what I call a binge eater, I would start with something bad and think oh well Ive ruined it now, I will just keep going.

I also cut contact with a friend just before last Xmas that was a bad influence, I noticed I ate more high calorie things at her place and drank more alcohol( not to get drunk) but still there is so much sugar in booze too, now most weeks I don't have any.My ex friend is a very very big person, and doesn't seem to care, she loves to eat.But that made me put on 8 kilos in 12 months. Im not a really big person, I am a bit over weight....but thank heavens I am starting to lose it lol.....sugar is definitely like a drug to me, chocolate...omg...so bad....I just stay away from all of that now.....when my family gets their treats at night, I just stay away.....I also don't eat takeaways.

I think my bad eating habits came from not eating properly as a child. With my negligent parents around drinking so much booze daily, there wasn't much food, and if my mum bought any it was all so bad when my parents split. Dinner could be crackers and butter and a chocolate bar. I never took lunch to school. There wasn't any food after Mum drank all our money away each week.So I would binge if actually got any food.My relationship with food has not been a good one,Im trying to change that now......we do eat very well now in my home,as I cook everything. I enjoy seeing my family eating well,as its something I never did as a kid.

My up coming trip is a motivator, I want to look good lol...hehe.
