Re: Fixing my washing machine

I've got to call out the engineer again to my washing. Same problem again with a brand new drum. The other one had lasted almost 7 years at least, it's not even been 7 weeks!

Everyone said at the start I'd need a new washing machine, I hope they do replace it this time.

That's what's wrong with my machine! Is it easy to fix?

Anns, I hope you get a new washing machine too.

The directions for my machine had me taking off the electronics and the top and the drawer box... I ended up just taking a pipe-cleaner (politically correct chenille stem) and cleaning out the little holes after removing the drawer. It worked!

Why did I think I had to do the complicated when the solution was so simple?

Re: Fixing my washing machine

I can't get the drawer out without taking the top off. But IIRC I don't think I have to remove the electronics. I'll check!

Re: Fixing my washing machine

Yes, each machine is different. Mine is an older model, so the drawer comes out easily, but there isn't a drain and the strainer isn't easily accessible.

My next machine will be an old-fashioned top loader with manual controls.
