Motrin side effects?

My doc prescribed a high dosage of Motrin to control heavy flow. This is the first day I'm trying it. I'm feeling woozy and a little bit of heart racing. I'm not taking this anymore. Has anyone else tried this?

Re: Motrin side effects?

Never heard of it, I have heard of some meds -not birth control, but in the same med "family" being used that way.

since you posted in the preg. forum I thought you were announcing that you were preg. & had taken motrin before you found out

I thought "general health?" or "reproduction?" Never thought "pregnancy."

But for those who stumble in here wondering of Motrin is safe to take while pregnant, talk to your doctors.

Re: Motrin side effects?

Motrin was fine for me! Sometimes your body can react to medicine in many different ways so if your doctor thinks the symptoms are normal, than they probably are. Try taking only half a dose at a time instead to see if that changes the way you feel. Motrin is pretty harmless so your reaction may be to something different or more medically related. let us know what ends up working for you, best of luck!
