Help!! Could i be pregnant? Attending university in september

I am almost 4 weeks late for my period. I took a first response test 5 days before my expected period and it came up positive. I had a urine test at the hospital a day before my expected period that came up negative so my doctor sent me for a blood test 2 weeks after my expected period which also came up negative. Did this ever happen to anyone? Could I still be pregnant? I'm never late for my period they are always regular. I really need to know because I plan to study at university about 6 hours away from here but it won't be possibe if I have a baby.

I've heard of really rare cases where blood tests gave wrong results, but usually they are pretty reliable. So, you're probably not pregnant.

How about going for an ultrasound scan with your doctor, just to make sure?

I know people that has happened to, and they were not pregnant. But please take Priscille's advice and schedule another appointment with your doctor.

Do you mind if I ask why you had a urine test at the hospital? Was it for other health reasons?

No it was to check for pregnancy, but it was before my period was due.. so i thought maybe that's why it might have came up negative

I've also had some symptoms like nausea and breast tenderness, that is why I think there's a chance I still could be. My doctor said something about ectopic? Do you know if you show negative with an ectopic pregnancy?

I think that pregnancy tests should be able to detect an ectopic pregnancy because what the pregnancy tests do is detect a hormone in the body that the placenta produce shortly after the embryo attaches. (I may be wrong.... but I think that's how it works...)

When are you having the results of your second blood test?
