Here's a different example - non-cooking

Anyone remember when the last time the Tut exhibit came to The States? Lots of stores carried egyptian type stuff.

I really thought 2 of the 4 organ jars were cool (the hawk and the jackel) and really disliked the other two (baboon and human).

I later bought the ones I liked at "local store". DH insisted that I get the other two - I told him no, I didn't like them, didn't want them. When my birthday came I made a list and he took both kids shopping with him. Any guesses what I got?

He then got upset that I didn't want what he needed me to want (he insisted that I had to want the entire set). He used to get upset that I didn't display the jars I disliked. He finally got it when I told him I'd never wanted them and he ignored my feelings because he wanted me to have the entire set.
