Re: Texas drought

I saw an on-line headline, but there was no article linked to it

What is/was the Texas miracle?

Re: Texas drought

Oh, it's a Republican presidential candidate buzzword going around. Texas's economy is (on the surface at least) not as bad as other states' economies. Rick Perry likes to think he has something to do with it.

Re: Texas drought

oh - (in a totally flat voice) - I thought something truly miraculas had happened - like say wildfires stopped before destroying a school/hospital/whatever; someone thought to have perished in the fires was found alive (& unburned)

Re: Texas drought

We need rain so bad. The fires are crazy around here. I woke up to ashes on my porch this morning. I live on the state line.

Re: Texas drought

Rain!! Glorious rain!! Only 0.25 inches - barely enough to get anything wet - but rain!! It's the most we've had in almost 3 months.

Re: Texas drought

Congratulations for this rain (glorious rain).

The soil is too dry. The water it must arrive gradually for to avoid the erosion of the soil. There were just a few drops of rain, well, so.

Today will rain at my town.

Re: Texas drought

We're getting more flooding and rain here this weekend. If Lee stalls, it could get very bad. I sure wish I could send it to Texas.

But then again, that might make Jacobs think she was right and Perry's "The Response" really broke the curse on the land so it could rejoice. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ibsTi...&feature=share

Re: Texas drought

I might need a translator because I don't speak "Crazy".

Funny that the Native Americans in the Texas coastal regions died out long before the churches of which she speaks arose. Is she seriously saying the land has bad mojo?

ETA: We need something along the lines of 24 inches of rain over the course of 6 months to not be in drought anymore. At least the temperatures are lower now.
