Re: Early New Years Resolution

ok...when I started this time () my weight was 146+ and climbing again (it had been higher )

I lost 4 lbs the first week (I stopped drinking soda, not eating chips) and have lost another 1/2 lb. since {I can fit in my jeans comfortably again}

My goal is to lose maybe 1/2 lb every month. I'll need to workout, but I intend to start slowly...in the past I'd start out with lofty goals & bombed . This time I intend to go slow and sure

Re: Early New Years Resolution

Do you keep a food/calorie journal snafu? I began that years ago when I was on Jenny Craig. Now it helps me to see where I am messing up.

I keep track of proteins, cals and each item I eat/drink. I strive for under 1200 each day. Usually hovers around 1400. I try to keep the carbs higher in am and taper off. Not enough protein and portion control are my biggest issues.

Good luck on the weight loss!

I'm above the 146 weight , but I am sticking to the workout schedule this time (I've lost weight too & am still above where I was 9 mo ago) ...baby steps

Re: Early New Years Resolution

I know how you feel, snafu. I've gained back about 1/2 the weight I lost this summer and I'm no where near my goal. So, I'm recommitting myself to today and doing one day at a time. Posting with you here has inspired me to take this approach. I know you can do it!

Re: Early New Years Resolution

I am thinking of this thread right now. I'm tired and I really want my Pepsi! I've given it up again and it's been 2 weeks. But I need the energy. I'm glad we don't have any in the house and I don't have the energy to go buy one.

Re: Early New Years Resolution

if its a total and complete energency - one of those little bottles of "drinkable" no-doze type stuff works

(I've only done that once - after not sleeping and having to drive 6 + hours in the rain)

Re: Early New Years Resolution

I'm hoping the green tea will give me the caffeine boost without the sugar. I'm afraid of those energy drinks.
