Re: Biggest Loser

I'm not measuring my waist - no way

but I am able to swim laps, nice & slow, for quite a while

(breath stroke, side stroke- both sides, back flutter-kick)

Re: Biggest Loser

Vacation weight gain bites

I gained pounds, I tell you, lots of pounds (but it was yummy stuff - the chocolate store at Mall of America has yummy $$ chocolate, and the non-fast food restaraunts...I'm drooling remembering)

anyway (big sigh) my weight went up over my "starting" weight - then, the icing on the cake (so to speak) I heard someone on the radio say that women 40 yr and over need to exercise 1 hour a day just to maintain thier weight

I have to admit, I've not been exercising - but now I've recruited a partner - DS has a bike now & I'll go rollerblading with him while he rides his bike

Re: Biggest Loser

According to the Wii fit (which I've started again) my BMI is 22.82

I think I like the BMI reporting rather than % of weight lost

(my waist on the other hand is a wasted cause up 2+ inches from what is was in Jan. - unless Jan's measurement wasn't accurate )

Re: Biggest Loser

I fell off "the wagon" again

I've been drinking too much soda again (sigh) and now some of my pants are too tight

I'm NOT buying new clothes because I've gained weight though- I'll have to lose the weight/gain muscle tone

Re: Biggest Loser

-snip & edit/modify

I've got to set 3 realistic goals (sigh)...I've spent the past week analyzing my habits - I'm not going to count calories yet

goal one (long term goal: 64 oz water daily; 1-3 glasses {8 oz} of milk daily; & no more than 1 decaf soda every 2-3 days)
I will drink at least 64 oz of non-caffinated drinks daily

goal two (long term goal: recomended daily intake of the food groups)
I will eat at least 3 servings of fresh fruit/veggies per day.

goal three (long term goal: exercise at least an hour 5 days a week)
I will exercise for at least 10 minutes per day

I've made goals for day one BMI is 24 (I'd like to get to 22)

Re: Biggest Loser

I've managed to cut out alot of the soda & lost a pound

I'm eating at least 2 servings of fruit/veggies a day- I gotta do better

exercise - if you want to count walking to the Uni. Library after class, then back again & from the parking garage to the Library & back I'm walking about 20 min. almost daily (I've been "living" in the Library )

Re: Biggest Loser

I hate my scale!!!!

I just discovered that my weight will "change" if my feet are in a slightly different position - - it "went up" 3 pounds
