learning from MIL
I am really looking forward to my MIL teaching me how to make pickles.
I let DSD know - so she's going to try to come here to learn with with me.  I already have some of her family recipes - I've made her version of one of her mom's before - DH loves it.

DSD will be unable to make it (can't get off work) - but that's ok.
I never mentioned that she might come to anyone as I didn't anyone disappointed if she couldn't.

I had a very good day with my MIL
 Boy, the expression "The more you know, the more you don't know" is apt. Originally, I knew that I was clueless about making homemade pickles. Then - I didn't know what size crock to get  and on it goes :rolleyes"

MIL and I had a Walmart run, then we did a "dry run" of what I'd need to do at home.
She'll be coming to my home Monday & Friday for steps 2 & 3. We may go to an open air market sometime too. Turns out she likes beignets

I made pickles for DH - had to call MIL for help.
Next time I make pickles I'd like to have her over, for the last day, to lend her expert advice. (its a 10 day process - I am able to do the 1st 9 days on my own)
