Re: What are your hobbies????????

I've been thinking about taking up crocheting again! I used to crochet as a kid.

Re: What are your hobbies????????

I definitely think you should. It's so relaxing, and when you're done, you have something new like a hate, blanket, etc. I learned through youtube tutorials

I would love to learn, but when I tried in the past my rows were never even.

Re: What are your hobbies????????

Were they getting smaller or longer at the end of each one? If so, one way to avoid that would be to count stitches when you crochet every row. That sounds a little bit tedious, but if you start off with a scarf or something, it's not that bad. The reason to do this is the last stitch in each row is often missed (if your work is shrinking), or if you are doing the last stitch twice or other stitches twice (if your work is getting wider). This happened to me when I first started out. Once you crochet enough, you begin to see the last stitch when looking at your bottom rows in the pattern. I definitely don't count every stitch now unless it's a tricky pattern. If you don't want to learn again, that's totally fine, but I hope you find this post helpful!

I'd second this.

Here's a hobby I forgot all about... It's called a "Honey-Do List."

Re: What are your hobbies????????

I counted stiches, but I had two issues

- I couldn't remember how to count the end of one row/beginning of the next
- sometimes my stiches were different sizes

Re: What are your hobbies????????

One of my students taught me how to knit (right now the only stitch I'm good at is the knit stitch, purling is awkward)
