Talking cleaning

I am getting the house cleaned ...and finally found a system that seems to be working for me

- clean the thing the bothers me the most first.

Re: cleaning

I've gotten several tips from a magazine prompting REALly SIMPLE cleaning hacks

baseboards - use inexpensive baby wipes (or have your kids use them) to clean the baseboards (mine have not been cleaned in a very long time )

- this worked really well

a follow up is to "dust" the clean (& dry) baseboards with fabric softener sheets (to make it easier to clean in the future)

- I've not tried this yet

The mag also suggests using microfiber cloths

Re: cleaning

I've made progress - the living areas of the house are clean (for the most part); baseboards in 3 rooms are clean, closets in 2 rooms organized, and I've started on things in the yard that bother me.

Re: cleaning

The basement is mostly organized! (DM's stuff needs to be reorganized - her stuff is in one area but as of now it no longer takes half of the basement - some of her stuff is on shelves - but I need to organize her stuff -ex all boxes of family pics together, all her decorations together, and so on )

goal is to finish the basement and the garage during July

We will need more storage shelves before we start on the attic (Sept/Oct)
