Re: Pet peeves

I have a few:

First of all I absolutely HATE when people are walking while texting and not paying attention to where they're going.

My second one is when people can't say wave thank you when I let them into traffic; when they can't say thank you when I hold a door open for them; when people can't excuse themselves when walking in front of me; etc. What happened to manners??!

Re: Pet peaves

One of mine is wearing pants at the knees.
Every time I see it, I think "What. The... bleep! Why!?!"
And, "Nobody wants to see your effing crap stained undies!"
I hate, hate, hate that!

Re: Pet peaves

When people use things and don't put them back where they belong.

Drivers with a one speed lead foot. They come up on my tail...find a way to get around me..drive up on someone else's tail..find a way to get around them and so on. Constand speed, whipping in and out of traffic.

Speaking of traffic..when someone hangs in your blind spot, you need to get over in their lane, and can't because theyr'e just at that same speed..not in front of you..nor behind you either.

Rude people. Walked into a half price sale at St. Vinnies yesterday and there was one cart left. While walking up to it, this woman came out of nowhere and I swear went into midair for that damned cart. Took my foot out in the meantime with her big *** heel that left a bruise three months later.

Heifer!!

Mine stay up and lit until the second Sunday in January.

My newest pet peeve: DH calling my name 10 million times. He's worse than when the kids were small and would say, "Mom, mom, mom, mom, mom..."

Re: Pet peaves

BTW Lucy..gotta love your post about the mom...Mom..MOM thing...like they think we didn't hear them the first time they yelled across the yard, up the stairwell, down the basement stairs, etc.

My DH does it one better, "Honey..HONEY....JUDY..WHERE THE HELL IS THE...

Me: "Middle drawer in the kitchen as always.."

DH: "Well it ain't there.."

Me: "Well if it ISN'T there..then it's where you or the kids left it.."

DH: "That's a lotta help.."

LOL!!

Re: Pet peaves

Grammer..biggest pet peeve of mine!!

Yes, there's a difference between to, too, and two; here and hear; their, there, and they're etc.

Included are the phrases: I ain't got none; when it should be, I don't have any; She don't like that, when it should be, She doesn't like that.

I could go on and on..drive me nuts. Hubby does it all the time..sounds like someone from the sticks and to be honest..more and more people I know are talking like this. I have to bite my tongue not to correct them but as always I come back, when someone says, "She don't like that..", as I say, "She doesn't??"

I can't help myself sometimes..

Re: Pet peaves

I hate it when clerks in a store say, "Will that be all?

No, actually I decided to buy out the entire store but I couldn't afford the moving van to fit it all in.
