Re: X-mas 2017

My fall decorations are still on my porch. Don't feel bad!

For me, it's because DD's last final is the Friday before Christmas - the 22nd. THAT is when it will be Christmas.

Meanwhile, my down-the-street BFF's shopping is done and house is decorated, and she texts me pictures of her cocktails in Christmas martini glasses with Christmas tree stirrers. I think she's trying to drop the hint that I need to at least get my fall decorations off of my porch because I'm harshing her vibe.

Re: X-mas 2017

We're almost done. Yea!

I only have one more bedroom to paint. Should knock that out this weekend.

I think my wife is going to get me a package of paint rollers for Christmas.

...and some more paint.

Merry Christmas.

Re: X-mas 2017

We were all out of ideas, too, snafu. The kids all buy what they want when they want it now.

I have a few little things under the tree and will give them cash. It's a little depressing because I miss the little kids Christmas. I'm hoping we can really enjoy the adult ones.

Re: X-mas 2017

Took the tree down yesterday and put away all that Christmas stuff. We love Christmas, but we're happy to get everything put away and back to normal.

Looking at that blinking-flickering tree for three weeks was more than enough for one year.

It was a good Christmas though.

What?!? Yesterday? What about the 12 Days of Christmas? Little Christmas? The Three Kings?!?!

We had several friends take their tree down before Christmas because of excessive needles falling. It seems it was a bad year for trees.

See, that's why I put my tree up long after everyone else has. Mine has only been up for a week. It is also why I don't use blinking lights. LOL.

I will have to take my tree down early this year though. I usually try waiting until the 12 Days are over, but the local Christmas tree recycling event (which turns Christmas trees into mulch) is on that 12th day this year.

And wow, Lucy. That's sad about people having to take their tree down before Christmas!
