Nah, if I really wanted to make you OCD, I'd tell you to watch Dr. Oz.

Re: allergies

It looks like I need to change the furnace filter more often than every 3 months (its been 6-8 weeks and it was filthy).

I'm going to try to check it the 1st & 15th of every month - I got the highest rating filter this time, rather than the second highest - my allergies haven't been as bad this summer (until recently). I'm hoping that the higher level filter will help with my allergies (I know that the amount of dust on the furnature has decreased with the higher rated filters )

Re: allergies

Are you going in and out of the house a lot? I've noticed that affects our filters. Too, aren't y'all experiencing unusually dry weather? When it's dry here, a lot more dust gets into our air inside (and hence the filters).

how dirty is too dirty?

It's been a little over 2 weeks and the filter looks really dirty to me.

Re: allergies

Allergies can just simply kill you in an instant. We must always determine what can give us allergies. It could be in many forms.
