College age "kids"
How often did you visit "home" while in college.
I think I went home 2-3 times a semester....then I hung out with friends. DS went to his dad's one weekend, and is coming here a different weekend. He's not even been gone a month!

Re: College age "kids"
Anyone else dealing with a college student who is home due to the Corona virus?
DS has had wonderful manners (ie Thank you mom for ____ ) However, his sleep patterns and ours are totally incompatible ![]() ![]() ![]()

Re: College age "kids"
My kids are both on Spring break (the original, not the extended) and doing me a huge favor by staying at their apartments. I'm not so sure I'm pleased with the "Well, you're at a higher risk now because of your age" reason they give for doing me this favor, but we'll just go with "it's the thought that counts."

Re: College age "kids"
Most of DS's friends returned to their homes. I let DS make the choice, but did let him know that when I lived on my own and was too sick to get out of bed it sucked called people to find someone who could bring me soup.
He chose to come home. DSD has a housemate, so I'm not worried about someone living alone.

Re: College age "kids"
grrr
When DS gets frustrated gaming on-line he tends to hit/pound/stomp. Normally - it blows over. Today he kept doing it (several intervals) - I finally told him not to tear stuff up. {He's in his room, with the door shut, abusing his own stuff} Was I right or wrong? to do this? On the one hand - its his stuff (he paid for it) or the other hand the noise is bothering me (and making me edgy)

Yes, you are right to tell him to knock it off. His behavior was affecting you.
