Re: "Snowmagedon"

Not us, suprisingly. I have had enough of the snow and cold, I need it to be spring now.

Re: "Snowmagedon"

We're supposed to end up with 7.5" on top of ice by the time this bout is over

Wonder if we'll have school

Re: "Snowmagedon"

Listen southern girl () those of us in the northern 1/2 of the U.S. don't cancel school when we get a few inches

Hey Swiss how deep does it get in Minnesota before you cancel school?

According to DH he never had a snowday when he lived in Alaska.

Re: "Snowmagedon"

It doesn't go by how deep it gets but if the buses can make it through. But most of the time they can so usually school doesn't get canceled. When I was a kid in HS, I think they canceled school once, but it dumped like 2 or 3 feet of snow on us. They did cancel school this year but that was due to the cold. the temp was -30 degrees or better in the morning and that was not counting the wind chill.

Re: "Snowmagedon"

We're expecting up to 10. Yay.

There is NO way that I could live in Minnesota. Or Alaska.

or New Jersey.

Re: "Snowmagedon"

yes that is a bit of snow, if you have to drive anywhere just drive slow and be careful!
I know it stinks, I am hoping that this white stuff goes away soon.

Re: "Snowmagedon"

It is currently sleeting here, with temperatures in the mid 20's (wind chill in single digits). We have a two hour school delay tomorrow; temperatures are expected to be in the 40's by noon, but back down to below freezing and raining tomorrow night.

Yesterday and the day before that it was sunny and 79*.

Re: "Snowmagedon"

That's a huge fluctuation in the weather! 79 would make below freezing feel so much colder!
