Re: Letting go ... DS & me
It is also hard. Not to hijack, but to tell you I totally understand-- YDS is moving out tomorrow. He's rented his own place near his job, etc. I raided my pantry to send him with a few things. He'll buy the rest he needs. I know he's quite capable of doing this. But, still, I wanted to help him a little bit. So, I do understand! Send the care package. But make it more interesting than the cleaning supplies I packed.

Re: Letting go ... DS & me
one of the things I snuck into DS's boxes was a thing of "stackable bubbles".
![]() When he was little we'd go to the park in (college town) and the college kids thought they were cool. (These big bearded guys were so excited)

Re: Letting go ... DS & me
Those are the good things! He might not be impressed with them at this very moment, but he will appreciate them when he's feeling homesick.

Re: Letting go ... DS & me
DS returned the bubbles to me.
![]() My neighbor & I devised a way I could get them to her (safely), then she can pass them on to her grandkids.
